Merenungkan makna yang terkandung dalam lagu Earth Song Michael Jackson, maka akan kita temui betapa  ironinya kehidupan dunia saat ini. Entah siapa yang salah. Namun yang jelas kita semua terkena dampaknya. Eksploitasi alam yang memang bermanfaat untuk kemaslahatan dan kesejahteraan manusia namun bila melebih batas wajar akan sangat menjadikan malapetaka. Manusia yang berbuat dan manusia yang menderita. Eksploitasi alam dan segala bentuk tindakan yang berlebihan merupakan sesuatu yang sangat memprihatikan. Manusia yang melakukan dan manusia juga yang mampu mengentikan. Namun kapankah segala tindak berlebihan ini akan berhenti?? Entah sampai kapan. Karena seaat ini manusia telah berada pada zona nyaman yang sesungguhnya berada di atas bayangan kesemuan. Karena sejatinya semua tindakan berlebihan manusia akan tiba saatnya menjadi petaka bagi kehidupan manusia. Karena hal tersebut membuat ketidakseimbangan alam dan huru-hara kenikmatan palsu. Maka diperlukan upaya bersama untuk senantiasa menjaga keseimbangan alam dan kesejahteraan kehidupan. Dengan dimulai dari hal yang kecil dan dimulai dari diri sendiri pada saat ini.
